David Hugill

I started by gazing at constellations and the Milky Way with just my eyes, before getting my first telescope, a 4-inch Dobsonian reflector. later upgrading to an 8-inch Meade LX90 Schmidt-Cassegrain with a GOTO mount.
I quickly became interested in photography and attached an Olympus OM1 camera to my telescope using Kodachrome 200 slide film. Using a modified webcam as a basic guide camera to take my first photograph, the Orion Nebula M42.
Having now got the bug for astrophotography I upgraded again to a cooled CCD mono camera and a 4-inch William Optics triplet refractor.
Now, I use the newest astronomy CMOS cameras coupled to either reflectors and refractor telescopes to capture nebulas, galaxies and star clusters
